BMW-SG (August 2006)

So here i am, writing about the local unofficial BMW club. I’m probably not the best person to write about the club in general, having joined them only rather recently.
My experiences so far have been superb. A bunch of great people, and met many great friends. I’ve been getting more involved in the whole organsational part as well, right now, a number of events have happened and even more are coming up. We’ve had our fair share of morning and nightly drives. (safe driving of course!)
What’s coming up? Well, a number of meet-ups are happening this week. First off, the classics group are having a gather on the 26th of August, for a nice afternoon of friendly banter as well as a mini-photoshoot. That same night, the local club will be having an unofficial night gathering at a local strip of road. Nothing illegal of course, just a nice meet-up for some catching up amongst friends and ice-cream.

The main event of this year will be also a charity event we are organising the local Breast Cancer Foundation. BMW-SG is planning on having a charity treasure hunt for the club and thru this, we hope to raise some money for the charity and following the treasure hunt will be the annual dinner for the club. *fingers and toes all crossed* and I really do wish this event to be a success.

There is another charity event organized by another group of automotive enthusiast happening much earlier. A drive-thru donation event in support of Children’s Cancer Foundation, BMW-SG will be supporting the event and I do hope a number of cars will turn up.
