E30 on a Sunday

Sunnyday Sunday? Not quite, but in view of the ongoing rain these past few days, a day without rain means a possible day for some photo taking. Waxed using Meguiar’s Gold Class Wax the day before too…
Had the Volker Iridium spark plugs installed. Initial findings? Not much of a noticeable difference but after driving for a little longer, engine response seems to have gone up very slightly (especially around 2000-2500rpm and above). Pretty good for such a small little spark plug. Also, it just feels good to have brand new healthy parts installed into the car.

Wash,Wax,Rain and set of Bilsteins

Ordered my set of Bilstein HDs (Heavy-Duty) for the E30 and due to arrive in 2 months hopefully. Springs will be replaced with a set of Eibach ProKits as well. We’ll see how the car evolves in time to come.
I finally brought out my bottle of “Meguiar’s Gold Class Wax” to use on the E30. Washed it, waxed it and shortly after, it rained, not only did it rain, it poured. (The whole day, nonetheless) I wanted to take more photos of the car in it’s full shiny “Gold Class” finish, but the rain put a stop to that. But it will NOT put a stop to me recommending to everyone else to try out this wax for themselves. It’s really amazing stuff, prior to this, i had my reservations. Especially when it cost much more then your standard tub of turtle wax (Which was what i’ve been using before), but after a coat of this Meguiar’s, the difference is as plain as the eye could see. It takes the finishing up to a whole new level, time to chuck away that turtle wax. Oh, one thing though, i’ve read that although the Meguiar’s shine is superb (and it IS), this stuff doesn’t last as long other normal waxes. So we’ll see what happens next week.

Autoart 1:18 BMW 2002L

“BMW Cars have always been sporty. But we regard sportiness as just another word for accelaration, speed, roadability, and agility. Another word for Performance and safety. As traffic becomes denser others too will be forced to realize how necessary these attributes are. And so they are forced to realize how right the BMW concept is.”
(statement from the original sales brochure)
The BMW 2002, the car that was the origin of the 3 series. In the late 1960′s and early 1970′s BMW released a compact, sporty and stylish coupe. It was small and lightweight, powerful and agile. Enthusiatic drivers lapped it up and the car entered many competitions with great success. It was a very elegant car and it remains a beautifully executed design till today. Truely one of the great classics.
